2026 Summer Reading Program

The Bath County Memorial Library is excited to announce the 2026 Summer Reading Program theme, Unearth a Story™. This year’s theme celebrates the joy of discovery that comes from reading and learning, reminding us that every person and every community has stories waiting to be uncovered and shared.

Through books, programs, hands-on activities, and local knowledge, Unearth a Story™ encourages readers of all ages to explore new ideas, dig into their imaginations, and connect with the world around them. Join us this summer as we uncover stories together and celebrate curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Seed Library

Grow something new—free with your library card

Welcome to the Bath County Memorial Library’s free Seed Library. Seeds are available at all BCML locations, making it easy for community members to participate no matter where they visit.

We’re excited to offer a wide variety of seeds that you can borrow and grow in your own garden. Whether you’re planting your first seeds or expanding an established garden, the Seed Library is a simple way to explore gardening and learn something new.

Our mission is to promote sustainable gardening practices and encourage community involvement in local food production. By sharing seeds and knowledge, we hope to support healthy habits, self-sufficiency, and a stronger connection to the land.
